Investor and deal conferences
Elevate Capital + Strategy Forum (formerly Hospice News ELEVATE and HHCN Capital + Strategy)
The next forum is at the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street in Tampa. The organizer has not posted the dates yet, so watch the Elevate forum site.
The organizer’s audience list includes “Home health and home care provider owners and corporate leadership,” hospice owners and executives, “Investors, private equity and banking professionals,” and “M&A advisors, bankers, attorneys.”
Why go if you may sell: the program has a capital, M&A and deal-environment track that covers valuation drivers, diligence priorities and what buyers and investors are looking for next. You hear it from the same people who will later read your numbers.
HHCN & HMEB FUTURE Conference
August 25-27 in Austin, Texas. Details are on the FUTURE conference site.
The organizer describes FUTURE as “curated, not open,” built for “owners, operators, executives, investors,” with 300+ attendees and a CEO track.
Why go if you may sell: there is a Capital & M&A track, and the organizer pitches the event to M&A advisors as “the most concentrated gathering of home-based care and HME operators evaluating strategic transitions.” That is a useful room for hearing how other owners think about timing and exit.
Access: attendance is curated, so check the organizer’s attendance rules before you plan travel.
McGuireWoods Healthcare Private Equity & Finance Conference
April 13-14 at The Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix. Details are on the conference site.
This long-running conference brings together private equity funds, lenders, investment bankers and healthcare executives, with panels led by lenders and fund leaders.
Why go if you may sell: it is a direct look at the capital side of healthcare deals. It is most useful if your agency already produces real EBITDA. Smaller owner-run agencies may get more from the home care rooms below.
Executive peer conferences
Home Care 100 Conferences (Winter and Summer)
Winter: January 31-February 3 at the Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando. Summer: June 13-16 at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City. Details are on the Home Care 100 conferences page.
The organizer describes the audience as “CEOs and senior executives of the nation’s largest” home care organizations.
Why go if you may sell: you spend time with leaders of the large operators and learn what scaled companies value. Operators that buy agencies may be in the room.
Access: registration is by request.
Home Care Innovation Forum
May 16-18 in Pasadena, California. Details are on the Innovation Forum site.
The organizer describes the forum as invite-only and “open to Presidents, CEOs, COOs, CFOs from home health & hospice providers as well as industry vendors.”
Why go if you may sell: it is a small executive retreat, which makes it easier to build real relationships with leaders of large home health and hospice operators.
Access: invitation only.
National association shows
HCAOA National Home Care Conference
The Home Care Association of America has named Las Vegas for the next conference but has not announced the date yet. The conference is usually held in late September or October. Watch the HCAOA conference page for the save-the-date.
HCAOA calls it “one of the few places where owners, operators, innovators, and frontline leaders all come together.” The focus is non-medical, personal care and private-pay agencies, and the organizer reported 800+ attendees, exhibitors, sponsors and speakers at its most recent conference.
Why go if you may sell: it is a national room of private-pay owners. You can benchmark your agency against peers and hear which operating issues keep coming up.
National Alliance for Care at Home Annual Meeting & Exposition (formerly the NAHC Home Care and Hospice Conference and Expo)
October 20-22 at the Seattle Convention Center, with a pre-conference on October 19. Details are on the Alliance event page.
The Alliance calls it the “premier gathering for leaders across home health, hospice, home care, palliative care, and Medicaid HCBS,” with “leadership-centered programming” for executives and 150+ exhibiting companies.
Why go if you may sell: this is the national home health and hospice meeting. Its policy and reimbursement sessions cover issues buyers weigh in diligence.
Texas and California state shows
TAHC&H Annual Meeting: Bring Care Home Conference
The Texas Association for Home Care & Hospice has not announced the next date or city yet. The meeting is usually held in early September. Watch the TAHC&H annual meeting site.
The organizer bills it as “the biggest home care conference in Texas.” Recent agendas included an Owners Networking Lunch limited to people who own 20% or more of a licensed home and community support agency and are actively involved in management. There is also pediatric programming.
Why go if you may sell: an owners-only lunch is rare. It is peer time with people who face the same Texas rules, payers and labor market you do.
CAHSAH Annual Conference & Expo
May 24-28 at the Anaheim Marriott in Anaheim, California. Details are on the CAHSAH conference page.
CAHSAH’s call for proposals names “Owners, CEOs, administrators, clinical and operational leaders, finance professionals” as the audience.
Why go if you may sell: it is California’s statewide meeting for home care, home health and hospice. A buyer will test the state rules and labor issues where your revenue is earned, so it is a good place to hear about them first.
For Hospice Owners
Hospice owners don’t need a separate list, because the shows on this page with the most hospice content are already here. Elevate Capital + Strategy Forum covers hospice and home health capital and M&A, and the National Alliance for Care at Home Annual Meeting & Exposition brings together home health, hospice, home care and palliative care leaders. The Home Care Innovation Forum is built for home health and hospice executives, and CAHSAH covers home care, home health and hospice in California. If a sale is on your mind, start with what’s involved in selling a hospice agency.
Also worth a look
- HomeCareCon (Home Care Association of Florida): July 27-30 at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld. It is Florida’s owner show, and it covers pediatric home care. HomeCareCon dates
- McDermott HPE Miami: March 3-4 at The Ritz-Carlton South Beach in Miami Beach. It is a large healthcare private equity gathering of “investors, operators, and advisors,” and it covers all of healthcare, not just home care. McDermott HPE Miami

Selling in the next 1–3 years? How to use these events
- Know your agency’s value first. Buyers and advisors at these events talk in earnings and multiples. A free, confidential valuation gives you a private baseline before those conversations start.
- Don’t signal a sale casually. If staff or referral sources hear that you are selling before you are ready, it can hurt the agency you are trying to sell. Keep early conversations general.
- Listen for what buyers ask about. Payer mix, census, staff retention and compliance are the topics to note. Then check your own agency against what buyers review.
- Collect contacts, not commitments. Trade business cards freely. Share financials only under an NDA, and only after you decide to explore a sale.
- Treat it as context, not a deal. A conference can show you how buyers think. It will not produce a buyer or a price on its own. For the numbers side, see what drives sale price.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the national home care conference?
Two national associations hold the main annual conferences. HCAOA’s National Home Care Conference centers on non-medical, private-pay home care owners. The National Alliance for Care at Home Annual Meeting & Exposition covers leaders across home health, hospice, home care and palliative care.
When is the HCAOA National Home Care Conference?
HCAOA has named Las Vegas for the next conference but has not announced the date yet. The conference is usually held in late September or October. The organizer’s conference page will post the save-the-date.
What happened to the NAHC Home Care and Hospice Conference and Expo?
NAHC merged with NHPCO to form the National Alliance for Care at Home. NAHC’s annual conference continues as the Alliance’s Annual Meeting & Exposition, and the next one is October 20-22 at the Seattle Convention Center.
What happened to the Private Duty National Conference & Expo?
DecisionHealth renamed it the Home Care Leadership Summit. The summit is aimed at leaders of Medicare home health, hospice and private-pay agencies. The next date has not been announced, and recent editions were held in May.
Are there executive-level home care conferences?
Yes. Home Care 100 and the Home Care Innovation Forum are built for CEOs and senior executives, and both require a registration request or an invitation. Some franchise systems also hold private conventions, but those are for their own franchisees and are not open to other owners.
Which conferences should hospice owners attend?
Start with Elevate Capital + Strategy Forum for hospice and home health capital and M&A, and the National Alliance for Care at Home Annual Meeting & Exposition for home health, hospice, home care and palliative care leaders. Hospice executives can also look at the invite-only Home Care Innovation Forum, and California owners at the CAHSAH Annual Conference & Expo.
Which conferences do home care buyers and investors attend?
Elevate Capital + Strategy Forum and HHCN & HMEB FUTURE bring care-at-home operators together with investors, bankers and M&A advisors. The McGuireWoods Healthcare Private Equity & Finance Conference and McDermott HPE Miami are broader healthcare private equity events for funds and lenders. None of them guarantees a buyer meeting, so go with a clear purpose.
